Financial and Insurance Information
How much does it cost to get my wisdom teeth extracted?
The cost of extraction varies among patients. Many factors, such as whether we can perform the extractions in our office or whether your surgery must be preformed in the hospital, the position and condition of your teeth and your health history, have to be reviewed. At your initial consultation, after the doctor has had the opportunity to review your health history, examine you and your x-rays, our office staff will be able to present you with an estimate of the extraction costs.
How much is the initial consultation?
The initial consultation can range between $45 and $55 depending on the type of consultation you are having (dental, cosmetic, etc.). Any x-rays that we take will be an additional cost of $50 each. Usually only one x-ray is required. If your regular dentist has taken x-rays of your entire mouth recently, you may want to see if we can use them instead of us taken another one.
Do you have a payment plan?
We do require that payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Care Credit and offer financing through Republic Finance. Care Credit, similar to Visa or Mastercard, offers simple payment plans and some non-interest bearing payment plans. You may come by our office for a Republic Finance or Care Credit application. You may also connect to Care Credit through this link http://www.carecredit.com.
Are you in my PPO?
Most insurance companies do not offer dental PPOs. We are PPO providers for the following Medical Plans: Baptist PPO and Healthlink.
Will you file my insurance?
As a courtesy to you, we will file most insurance.
I have insurance, why am I getting a bill?
Our computer system automatically sends out statements once a month for any account that has a balance. If your statement does not reflect an insurance payment after approximately four weeks from the date of service, it may be necessary for you to contact your insurance carrier to determine why they have not paid your claim.
My insurance paid, why am I still getting a bill?
The amount of coverage paid by your insurance company may be based on your insurance companys own reduced fee schedule which may be less than our actual charges. We have no control over this situation. Lower payment is a direct result of the plan selected by your employer.
