Maxillofacial surgery is a wide range of services that can make your life better. These services include ways to alleviate obstructive sleep apnea, correct jaw deformities, temperomandibular joint disorders (TMJ), cancer reconstruction, and traumatic injuries.
Although cosmetic surgery is not considered a medical necessity, our patients tend to disagree. Through facelifts, rhinoplasties, forehead lifts, laser skin resurfacing, and a multitude of other cosmetic procedures, our patients claim to live happier, healthier lives.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training following dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Griffin manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Griffin practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from cosmetic facial surgery to corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal. He diagnoses and treats facial pain, facial injuries, and TMJ disorders, and performs a full range of dental implant procedures.
Dr. Griffin's staff is trained in assisting with IV sedation within our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and immediately after surgery. In addition, general anesthesia provided by a nurse anesthetist or an anesthesiologist is available within our facility.
